The Los Angeles Dodgers had a day to calm down after their angry series finale in Pittsburgh, but word on any possible discipline for their actions won't come until at least the weekend. Manager Don Mattingly on Friday spoke with former Dodgers manager Joe Torre, now in charge of discipline for Major League Baseball. Both Mattingly and Kemp were ejected Thursday and aggressively argued with home plate umpire Angel Campos. Mattingly knows some punishment is coming, at least for him. "I still think it's going to happen, it sounds like, just not tonight. I got a stay of execution for one more day," Mattingly said Friday in Atlanta. "I would say a game or two, it looks like." Mattingly said he expected a suspension for himself but argued with Torre on behalf of Kemp, who said he was cheering for his teammate. "He did hold his temper in check -- that's my response," Mattingly said. "Matt didn't do anything wrong. What happened wa...

Celebrating Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier, Hope Diamond Edition.

I stumbled across an auction for one of the best parallels in recent years, and with the combination of Matt Kemp and a great price being involved, well, you know I just had to add another sweet card to my Bison PC.Numbered 15/60 (one of those cross-sports 1/1s I'm so fond of), it's the first Hope Diamond that will find a permanent home in my collection. The card commemorates...

Matt Kemp Ejection Leads To Earmuffs

Shhshh Matt Kemp, all you gotta do is say earmuffs. For any of you Old School fans out there. Earlier today in a game between the Pirates and Dodgers, Matt Kemp was ejected for whatever he said in the dugout. If you check the video out at Deadspin you’ll see the kid’s father putting his hands around his kid’s ears. Kemp was a tad vulgar today with his wording, and he even...

A.J. Burnett blasts Hanley Ramirez for home run celebration (Video)

Your browser does not support iframes. Hanley Ramirez has developed this weird little celebration where he takes his hand and makes circles around his eyes, either like he’s wearing glasses or taking a picture. We don’t really know the true meaning of the charade, but it’s something along those lines. What we do know is A.J. Burnett does not appreciate it. Ramirez hit a two...
