Dodgers get the better end of the Hanley Ramirez deal

The Dodgers did something they haven't done in awhile -- acquire an impact bat. But the fact it was a young impact bat was quite surprising and pleasing. Hanley Ramirez is the Dodgers' newest addition and should be around for quite some time. Look, I know he's not the Ramirez of 2006-09 who hit .316/.387/.531, but he has the potential and ability to be that player...

Dodgers pitcher tweets post-surgery pic

Nobody ever wants to get Tommy John surgery, but it's increasingly the reality for many major league pitchers. Dodgers reliever Todd Coffey underwent the procedure recently, but seemed to feel positively enough about it that he tweeted a picture of the aftermath from surgery. To give some perspective, here's what his elbow looked like before the surgery, compared the "...

Dodgers land Hanley Ramirez for Nathan Eovaldi and Scott McGough

Well, this is certainly some fantastic news to wake up to. The Dodgers have acquired Hanley Ramirez and Randy Choate from the Marlins for Nathan Eovaldi and Scott McGough. Wow. I'm still not sure how to react. I'll do a more in-depth post later, but I wanted for fire this one off before going to work. It seems the Dodgers' checkbook finally paid off (sorry)...

Dodgers Land Hanley Ramirez

You read that correctly. ESPN.com is reporting that the Los Angeles Dodgers have landed premier third baseman Hanley Ramirez for Nathan Eovaldi and minor leaguer Scott McGough. The All-Star third baseman will switch coasts as the Dodgers work Ramirez in the 4th year of his 6 year contract. This, almost needless to say, is a major upgrade to the Dodgers lineup, having him sit...

GM Ned Colletti says the Dodgers are far from done after landing Hanley Ramirez, as they still want a starter and a bat. Los Angeles Dodgers fan shows off awesome dance moves at Tampa Bay Rays game

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure why this Los Angeles Dodgers fan decided to attend a baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and the Tampa Bay Rays. However, extra innings gave this fan a chance to shine for the world of the Interweb and he showed off some smooth moves.I'll give him an 8.5 on the dance but only a 5.4 on the delivery: <p>&amp...

Colletti Switching Focus To Shields, Willingham, Morneau

The Angels of Anaheim have acquired Zack Greinke from the Milwaukee Brewers. This obviously takes him off the table for the Dodgers, not that the Dodgers were all that interested in him anyway.  Matt Garza is expected to remain with the Cubs after news of a MRI revealing  a slight fluid buildup in Garza’s triceps area. He is expected to miss his next start for sure and could...
