By SBRForum.com While many have been talking about how barren the Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitching staff looked near the end of the season, the team had not made any major moves towards getting a fresh face for the lineup.  That is, until this past week when they secured the rights to negotiated with one Ryu Hyun-jin.  By securing Hyun-jin, the Dodgers could solidify themselves as major MLB picks for the upcoming season. As a franchise, the Dodgers have a history working with pitchers of Asian heritage.  In the 1990s they had two powerhouses from the Far East in Chan Ho Park and Hideo Nomo.  Both men played on All Star teams and aided their team greatly in all aspects of the game.  By adding Hyun-jin, they will be reigniting the tradition of using pitchers from Asian that will hopefully lead to them entering the World Series come next October.  Hyun-jin’s biggest asset to the team is that he is an exceptional pitcher that is rather young.  At 25, he has quite a bit of years left as a viable pitcher and is much younger than the teams current pitching staff.  By acquiring his services, the team will be able to begin building the team around him and setting up a sort of dynasty that they will hope extends into the next decade.  Hyun-jin certainly has the talent to be built into the center piece of the franchise, but first they will need to get him signed to a contract.  There will be plenty of other teams that will be chomping at the bit to get Hyun-jin, so Los Angeles will need to act quick to get him on their team. As a player, Ryu Hyun-jin will be a great addition to the Los Angeles Dodgers.  They have a lot of people on their radar at the moment, but Hyun-Jin has jumped to the top of the list.  By acquiring him, they will become a force to be reckoned with in the 2013 season.
