Found July 26, 2013 on MLB Injury News:
The Los Angeles Dodgers are close to getting Stephen Fife back.  The 26-year old right hander has been sidelined with shoulder bursitis.  He made a minor league rehab start on Monday and threw 63 pitches.  According to Austin Laymance of MLB.com, Fife is scheduled to throw in another rehab outing this weekend. Fife has been on the DL since July 7th.  He and the Dodgers are hoping Fife can return sometime next week, but they want to see how he performs in this second rehab start.  For pitchers, rehab performances are often more important than position players.  They are evaluated more on their mechanics and how they react to the game situation physically rather than the outcome of their performance. The Dodger, who just designated Ted Lilly for assignment, could certainly use Fife.  They have some solid pitching right now, but Fife should add to that again.  He made eight starts this season before his injury, and he made five starts last season.  Los Angeles wants to get him a lot more experience as they make a push toward the postseason this year. Fife was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 3rd round of the 2008 draft.  He was traded to the Dodgers as part of a three-team deal in 2011.  Fife made his Major League debut last season and has pitched well ever since.  In his 13 starts to this point, Fife has a career 2.74 ERA.
