Dodgers have recently become one of the most clutch teams in the MLB, all for Don Mattingly

So you’ve heard a lot about Don Mattingly and his job security recently — hell, I just wrote about it — but this article from Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports spread around yesterday, and it touched on all the common refrains you’ve been hearing, including harping on the team’s hitting with RISP. They wonder why the players don’t spend more time with hitting coach Mark McGwire...

Kemp wanted to help Oklahoma in their most trying time so he announced this tremendous gesture on his Twitter. Kemp...

Brandon League May Be Out As Dodgers Closer Soon

Brandon League has been trying to do just about anything to give away his closer’s role. Despite League’s high salary and multi-year contract, the embattled closer has a 5.51 ERA and has lead the Dodgers to one of the worst bullpens in baseball, one of many problems currently impacting the expensive NL West team. Kenley Jansen would be the natural pick to replace League should...

Dodgers GM says Mattingly "doing fine"

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti says beleaguered manager Don Mattingly is ''doing fine'' and has kept the team steady despite its last-place showing in the NL West. There has been speculation that Mattingly's job was in jeopardy. The Dodgers are 17-25 despite a high payroll. Asked if it was false to say Mattingly would be fired this week, Colletti...

Andre Ethier gives umpire death stare after being ejected (GIF)

Andre Ethier was ejected in the eighth inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night for apparently arguing balls and strikes. He also may have been upset over Brewers pitcher Michael Gonzalez throwing a pitch over his head on an 0-2 count and not being warned, but none of that really matters. The real takeaway here is the death stare Ethier...

Tweet Los Angeles Dodgers all-star outfielder Matt Kemp is from the Oklahoma City area that was hit by one of the worst tornados in US history Monday, inspiring the slugger to make a very noble pledge via his Twitter account after the Dodgers’ game Monday evening: I’m giving $1000 for tonight’s HR and every HR [...]

Going...Going...Not Gone: Dodgers Matt Kemp Makes Home Run Stealing Catch

Matt Kemp is a heck of a ball player--there is no denying that. Saturday night when his Dodgers were playing the Atlanta Braves he proved that once again by making this catch to steal a home run from Jason Heyward. You have to give Heyward a little credit too. Not many players would tip their hat to a guy that just took a home run from them! Your browser does not support iframes.

Brewers look to crack the Clayton Kershaw code

Clayton Kershaw is tied for the majors' lowest ERA, but unfortunately also owns baseball's worst run support average. Fortunately for him, the Milwaukee Brewers have been awful against left-handers as they face Kershaw in Monday night's opener of a three-game set with the Los Angeles Dodgers out to snap a six-game road slide. Kershaw (4-2, 1.40 ERA) is tied with St. Louis...

Braves 5, Dodgers 2
