Memories Of Kevin Malone:
Is this really all the Dodgers get for him? I thought the Dodgers get two PTBNL?"KREBS DEALT: The Pittsburgh Pirates today dealt Altoona Curve right-hander Eric Krebs to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as Krebs was the player to be named later in a deal that sent Delwyn Young to the Pirates on April 15."Krebs is some 24-year-old right-handed reliever that's spending his first season in AA-ball. So far, he has more walks than innings pitched this year, but his strikeout rate looks solid, so i'm assuming he has a power arm and some upside. Still though, the last time he had an ERA below 4 was in Rookie-ball as a 22-year-old. Meh. Maybe he'll turn out to be a useful bullpen arm in the future, but it's more likely that he never makes it to the major leagues.
Given the situation the Dodgers are in right now, it seems rather sickening that Delwyn Young has a .855 OPS for the Pirates.
