Everth Cabrera provided one of the most exciting finishes in baseball so far this year. The San Diego Padres had Everth Cabrera pinch run in the 9th inning and with two outs he caught the Dodgers napping. Down to their last strike, Cabrera took off for home, then in a strange sequence of events was ruled out. Within seconds, catcher A.J. Ellis was seen chasing down the ball behind home plate, in which umpire Greg Gibson then changed his mind and ruled Cabrera safe. Not only did the Padres tie the game, Will Venable followed him to the plate with the winning run.
