Found April 14, 2012 on Redlegs Review:
This was the scene after Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals where rookie backstop Devin Mesoraco couldn't corral a wild pitch uncorked by Alfredo Simon. Mesoraco later apologized for the act. “That was not-well timed on my part,” Mesoraco said. “That’s a tough way to lose a game for a catcher. It’s not a big deal. But if you’re going to do that, go where people can’t see you and snap your picture. It's embarrassing". The Reds record now stands at 3-5 on the year after taking another heart-breaking loss on Friday. The club has lost four of their past five games.
