LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke is scheduled to make his first injury rehab start Friday night for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga at Lake Elsinore. The team announced the news Thursday. Greinke had surgery last month to repair a broken left collarbone after he was hurt in a bench-clearing brawl with Carlos Quentin and the San Diego Padres. The right-hander was expected to miss eight weeks. Greinke, the 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner, signed a 147 million, six-year contract with Los Angeles in the offseason. He is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in two starts during his first season with the Dodgers. The club said left-hander Scott Elbert also is expected to pitch an inning of relief Friday night for Rancho Cucamonga in his first rehab outing.

I said hi to him, he just looked...

Matt Kemp gives jersey, spikes and signed baseball to sick fan in post game meeting (VIDEO)

via Instagram – Photo of the uniform that Matt Kemp gave to Joshua Jones Sunday in San Francisco. Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp is a superstar and it has nothing to do with his play on the field.  It has nothing to do with his ridiculous 2011 when he tallied 39 jacks, 126 RBIs, 40 stolen bases and hit .324. On Sunday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Joshua Jones, and...

In six short days with the team in 2013, Dee Gordon has already showcased everything that once made him a top prospect and everything that made him one of the worst players in the MLB last year. Tiffany Hwang, a member of the South Korean pop group Girls Generation, threw out the first pitch at the Dodgers game Monday. (Yes, I used Google) And by throwing out we mean uh throwing away the first pitch. Perhaps it was her decision to tuck her Dodgers jersey into her pants? Or maybe it was all the pregame waving? Whatever the case Tiffany says that Dodger pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu...

Dodgers on a long losing streak…but is help on the way?

Well, keeping up with the blog has proved difficult the last couple of weeks.  By all appearances, the Dodgers offense appears to be having similar success. It’s time for direct intervention.  The last time the Dodgers won was a week ago on Hanley Ramirez Bobblehead Night at Chavez Ravine when this writer was in attendance.  After last night’s 9-2 beat-down to the Arizona...
