Dodgers fans won't see Matt Kemp in action anytime soon.
On the day the team welcome Yasiel Puig back to the lineup vs. the Reds on Prime Ticket, manager Don Mattingly said Kemp's rehab has been slowed by tightness in his right hamstring and has been shut down "indefinitely."
"At some point we run out of time," Mattingly told reporters before Friday night's game in Cincinnati.
The center fielder has been on the sidelines since July 21 with a sprained left ankle and missed 24 games in May and June with another hamstring injury.
Kemp has only played in 11 games, with 41 major league plate appearances, since May 30.
During a recent rehab stint with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, Kemp went 0-for-18 in the Quakes' final five games of the regular season.
