The Sugar Land Skeeters are on top of the Independent baseball world.
As a first year organization things really couldn’t be going any better. The Skeeters are leading the league in attendance with nearly 400,000 through the turnstile after 60 games and are averaging 6,600 per game, also tops in the league.
Scott Kazmir is on the long road to MLB after dismal experience with the Anaheim Angles in 2010/2011, and former pros Jason Lane and Tim Redding shore up the Skeeters rotation on a weekly basis. More recently, Roger Clemens shocked the world by signing with the Skeeters in his own version of a comeback.
Now, if it couldn’t get any better, Clemens’ son Koby is set to join the team on Friday.
