The Los Angeles Dodgers roster is made up of 11 pitchers, seven infielders, six outfielders, and two catchers. The most noticeable omission from the Dodgers roster is Matt Kemp, who is sidelined for the remainder of the postseason due to an ankle injury. Also absent from the Dodgers roster are Jerry Hairston Jr., Brandon League, Carlos Marmol, and Edinson Volquez. On the Atlanta Braves roster is 11 pitchers, five infielders, three catchers, and six outfielders.  14 of the Braves’ 25 players have postseason experience. Of note for the Braves, Gonzalez made the decision to leave second baseman Dan Uggla off the division series roster. Veteran left-handed reliever Scott Downs, whom the Braves acquired from the Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim, was also surprisingly absent from the NLDS roster. The winner of the NLDS will have the option to modify their roster prior to starting National League Championship Series.
