Clayton Kershaw equaled his season high giving up four earned runs Friday night in the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2 loss to the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers defense certainly didn’t lend a helping hand to Kershaw while committing two errors which now puts them in a dead heat with the Houston Astros for the most errors in Major League Baseball. The game began with Padres starter Clayton Richard being removed after just two pitches due to a shoulder injury. Unfortunately, the Dodgers would only score one run on a Juan Uribe groundout. Chris Denorfia would get that run back in the bottom of the first inning as he launched a Kershaw pitch out over the left field wall to cancel the only Dodgers lead of the game. Kershaw struggled early with command although he only walked one in the game. The fun started in th...

Dodgers set to pay a penalty on draft signings, but won’t lose 2014 pick

The Dodgers are set to pay a financial penalty for going over their draft bonus pool limit, but won’t have to pay the severe penalty of losing a 2014 draft pick. There was legit reason to worry, as our own Dustin Nosler pointed out, because the team was in questionable territory with the bonuses of J.D. Underwood, Kyle Farmer, and Nick Keener to go. ===== Dodgers 2013 Draft Recap...

Daily FanDuel Picks: June 22, 2013

A lack of stellar pitching performances in FanDuel leagues yesterday — Clayton Kershaw (9), Julio Teheran (9.33) and Cole Hamels (7) were the three most-picked pitchers — depressed team point totals, which meant my team’s 27.75 points were good for ninth place. Only one entry in my 20-team league picked Stephen Strasburg, who went on to score 19 points.Today you’ll have very...
