Matt Kemp took some time out of his young offseason to appear on Ellen Thursday to support breast cancer awareness. He was given the chance to dunk one of his fans in a dunk tank. It took him four tries. But in fairness to him, he was throwing softballs. I'm thinking he just wanted the girl to sit on the perch a little longer. While she was no Rihanna, she could still stand under my umbrella. Lame, I know. It would have been great to see him charge a ball, crow hop and fire a strike.

Might A Radical Trade Involving Cole Hamels & Matt Kemp Be The Answer?
I am a big Cole Hamels fan. He’s probably been the most consistent Phillies pitcher over the last 3 years, he’s the youngest ace, and he’s got an incredibly bright future. But…the Phillies are in win-right-now mode, as the core of Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Shane Victornio, etc., only have a couple more [...]

A Gold Parallel Russell Martin 2005 Bowman's Best Rookie Card. Another Rainbow, Perhaps? Oy. Vey.
2005 Bowman's Best has a special place in my card collecting heart. Perhaps it's because both Matt Kemp and Russell Martin have cards in the set. Or maybe it stems from the fact that I own parallel versions of both of their cards. But it could also be the distinctly Spring Training feel and aspects that these rookie cards possess. So when I had the opportunity to add this...
