Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star outfielder, Matt Kemp, had a major collision while running down a fly ball off the bat of Josh Rutledge in the bottom of the first inning during last night’s 8-4 loss to the Colorado Rockies.
However, the potential loss of Kemp poses a greater concern for his fantasy owners.
According to an AP report via ESPN LA, Kemp suffered no structural damage to his knee or jaw and will be listed as “day to day.”
The report did indicate that Kemp will sit out of Wednesday night’s game in Denver.
Kemp (.337/.404/.584) is having a great season at the plate and could be having a historical one if not for a trip to the DL he had to endure earlier in the summer.
