Mike Jacobs was crushing the ball in triple-A for the Rockies putting up a .298/.376/.534 slash line while hitting 23 homers, driving in 97 runs and putting up a .910 OPS. Any Mets fan that watched Jacobs in his stays in New York knew two things, the guy had power and hands of stone in the field. Looks like we really only knew one thing for sure, his fielding was terrible.
Although we don’t know exactly how long Jacobs has had HGH in his system, I don’t think it matters. I’m just happy he’s not still with the team, especially considering this. In fact he’s apparently gained some interesting recognition for this…

Truthfully, it doesn’t matter what or when he did it, just that he did and I give credit to the Rockies organization for deciding not to have that within their organization. They have released Mike Jacobs.
