The New York Mets have reached an agreement with free agent Infielder Angel Berroa.
The New York Post and the New York Daily News reported that the Dominican, who was the Rookie of the Year in the American League in 2003, will be assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
Berroa, aged 31, has experience in the Major Leagues as an intermediate, short prelude and field. He began the season with the Yankees but was designated for assignment by the end of June.
In the short time spent with mules, went 22-3 with a driven. In nine years of his career, is batting average of .259.
