Former Los Angeles Dodger and 12-time All-Star Mike Piazza admitted to taking amphetamines and Androstenedione during his career. Earlier, Piazza reiterated his long standing denial of taking performance-enhancing drugs during his career. However, in his book, Longshot, he addresses the accusations even further. When asked, if he ever used performance-enhancing drugs during his baseball career, he acknowledged, in a round-about way that he had done some PEDs. “My histories of denial are documented all the way back to 1997. So, I never really thought that was news,” Piazza said. “But, obviously, in the light of the history, and I try to put that into perspective. You know, paint a picture of the history of the game and how not just PEDs, but generally the whole philosophy on training for the game changed with weight training and guys. Generally it was discouraged when I was a kid. ” He continued, “I remember people saying, ‘you’re gonna get muscle-bound, you’re gonna get too tight. B...

The Dodgers begin their 2013 Spring Training with a ton of injury concerns, and now that the whole team has reported, it’s time for an update on player statuses. No better way to start this off than Chad Billingsley, who might be the biggest question mark of all, even if the depth acquired has mitigated the consequences if he does falter. Puig and friends: Examining the Dodgers' best power-hitting prospects

Power is one of the most coveted tools in baseball. Not everyone can hit 40 home runs a season. Hell, not everyone can even get to 30 these days. Some players are solely known for it while others develop through their development. Either way, it's usually the last tool to develop fully. I mean, we're still waiting for James Loney to hit 20 home runs in a season. The...

The Dodgers' Steve Lyons Is The Worst Announcer In Baseball.

Particularly now that Joe Morgan is out of the announcing game. And hey, at least Morgan was an all-time great, and either the best or second-best second baseman ever. Lyons was, shall we say, less than terribly atrocious. Here's what Lyons is most well-known for: not his announcing, not his baseball insights, not his witty commentary, but this display of hilarious ineptitude...

Zack Greinke hates traffic, looked into taking a helicopter to Dodger Stadium

Prior to 2012, Zack Greinke had never really pitched in a big city. Aside from some starts on the road, during which he took a team bus to the stadium, the 29-year-old has likely did not have to battle traffic all that often while pitching in places like Kansas City and Milwaukee. Now, $158 million has brought him to one of the most popular cities in America. If all goes to plan...

Never Too Late To Put Headley In Dodger Blue

Months of speculation here at Dodgers Rumors about putting Chase Headley into Dodger Blue. Two weeks ago the Padres agreed to a one-year $8.575MM deal with Headley avoiding arbitration.
