Every time you think the Dodgers can’t get any worse, they feel the need to remind you otherwise.

In a 3-0 loss to Milwaukee, James Loney committed possibly the only thing the Boys in Blue have yet to see: a GITP. That’s right, a “T,” as in “triple.” The Brewers recorded three outs with one swing of Loney’s bat to end the second inning, thanks in part to a stellar defensive play by 2B Josh Wilson.

With Matt Kemp on second and Juan Rivera standing at first, Loney hit one up the middle, but Wilson made a diving stop and flipped the ball to Yuniesky Betancourt at second-base. Betancourt then threw to first to retire Loney. Prince Fielder saw Kemp barreling for home and connected with George Kottaras at the plate for the third and final out.

The Brewers scored all three runs on three solo-homers, while former-Dodger Randy Wolf twirled eight shutout innings. Ted Lilly almost matched Wolf tit for tat, allowing just one run in seven innings of work. But both the bullpen and the offense faltered.

Yovani Gallardo takes the hill for Milwaukee in Tuesday’s game; the Dodgers have yet to announce their starter.
