The NL West is one of the most exciting divisions in baseball because of…well, two teams. Sure, the Rockies are finally healthy and Arizona has made some moves, but it really comes down to the Giants and the Dodgers. Then again, the Padres could come out of nowhere and win the whole thing after a giant earthquake swallows LA and San Francisco, Yellowstone erupts, covering Denver, and Arizona is invaded by Mexico. So anything can happen. The Los Angeles Dodgers, you may have heard, are going balls to the wall this year after surpassing the Yankees for the top payroll in the game this offseason. Their pitching staff is still lead by one of the best in the game, Clayton Kershaw, but following him hitters now have to face two former Cy Young winners in Zach Greinke (who wasn’t brought back after only half a season on the other side of town) and Josh Beckett. They’re hoping for Adrian Gonzalez’ power numbers to bounce back to Padres days, especially since Hanley Ramirez will be out for until mid-May. If you had to ask any young child about their favorite television show, most of them would probably say Sesame Street and over the years, many famous athletes have appeared on the PBS production.
