On Monday, Major League Baseball celebrated Jackie Robinson Day. Part of this celebration included all players donning Robinson's No. 42 on the back of their uniforms. Some players took the tribute of Robinson a step further, though. One of those players was Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford, who sported a pair of blue and white commemorative cleats (pictured above).Crawford said he couldn't figure out which color he wanted to wear, so he wound up wearing one of each. The mismatched shoes were specially made by Nike and drew numerous texts and calls of support from fellow players. However, not everyone appreciated Crawford's customized apparel. No, Major League Baseball reportedly called Crawford's agent and instructed him not to wear either the blue or white special edition spikes in a game ever again."I was like, 'OK, he had a little fun with it, so let me have fun with it,' " Crawford said. "The league doesn't want us to have any fun, I guess."As silly as it may seem, a fine could very well be coming for Crawford because of the incident. The league fined Brian Wilson $1,000 in 2010 for wearing bright orange shoes in the All-Star Game.Via ESPN
