Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
First, let me say upfront I've never had a bad in-person autograph experience. Sure, there have been some line shenanigans and long waits, but I've always been able to get the autograph and chill with fantastic people during the waits. My best experience - to answer Fuji's latest contest question - isn't even close, however. Meeting Matt Kemp after camping out for 14 and a half-ish hours is easily the most fun I've had at an event.I was able to get the above 8x10 signed by The Bison himself, who added his number and was kind enough to oblige my request for the "The Bison" inscription. I had it framed a while back, and the white frame was an easy choice, though the picture doesn't do it near enough justice. It was such a memorable experience for me beyond the obvious reason of meeting my favorite player. The campout was tremendous fun, and I got to spend it with some truly wonderful people. Matt actually bought dinner for everybody in line, which is ...
BEST OF MAXIM
So everybody knows Matt Kemp rules on the field, but this is even better than his play. This Is Matt Kemp. My little sister has AML She met him last Tuesday and he has worn her bracelet ever since. I don’t care if you are a dodger fan or not this man means more to
Matt Kemp is giving the Los Angeles Dodgers a much-needed lift.
The New York Mets could certainly use one to avoid spiraling out of the NL East race.
Kemp looks to lead the Dodgers to their third straight win as they continue this three-game series against the struggling Mets on Saturday.
In six games since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him six weeks, Kemp is...
The below card was sent to me for no reason other than its sender knew I would love it and it would make a mighty fine addition to my Matt Kemp Collection. It's part of some kind of Pay It Forward Program amongst us wonderful bloggers. You know, like the movie.Except Haley Joel Osment doesn't die now that I've posted the card.Yeah, that's totally the only difference...
The LA Dodgers were swooning
going into the All-Star break, but thanks goodness for the returns of Matt Kemp
and Andre Ethier. Because LA,
like at least some of us who offer up free MLB picks figured it would, regained
a bit of stream with a three-game sweep of the Mets in New York over the
Now the Dodgers move on to St.
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Chad Billingsley returned from the 15-day disabled list with a strong outing that ended a five-start losing streak and Luis Cruz hit a three-run homer as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 Monday night for their fifth straight victory.

Pinch-hitter Matt Treanor had a two-run single in a five-run 12th inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the fading New York Mets 8-3 on Sunday to finish a three-game sweep.
The Dodgers blew a 3-1 lead after the sixth but still won their fourth straight after losing seven of eight and dropping out of first place in the NL West.
An overworked Mets bullpen held the Dodgers to one...

Juan Uribe broke out of a long slump with a homer and four RBIs, Chris Capuano pitched seven solid innings against his former team and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the staggering New York Mets 8-5 on Saturday.
Uribe hit an early two-run double to end a 1-for-38 slide. He added a two-run homer in the ninth inning off 13-game winner R.A. Dickey, who was making his first relief...
The Mets look to return to the win column today as they take on the Dodgers for game three of the series. Yesterday’s game was rather “blah” so no point in recapping it. Anyway, Niese gets the start today as he takes on Nathan Eovaldi of the Dodgers:
Niese is 7-4 on the season with a 3.58 ERA over 18 starts and 110.2 innings of work. Jon rebounded really nicely in his last...
Extra, Extra, Grieve All About It!
The Los Angeles Dodgers were in town this weekend, and they wound up sweeping the hapless Mets, and putting the good guys under .500 for the first time this season. It was an awful start to the homestand especially after a 1-5 road trip to start the second half. Oh and by the way, here came the Nationals. Without further ado, here are the 3 Ups...
