Pro Sports Daily:
New York Yankees reliever David Robertson underwent multiple tests after injuring his foot in a fall down some stairs.
Robertson was sent to the hospital to undergo X-rays, an MRI exam and a CT scan on his right foot.
The initial diagnosis was that Robertson had suffered a mid-foot sprain Wednesday night while carrying boxes down the stairs at his home.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said the initial tests on the All-Star reliever gave the team "cause for concern. We're not sure what's going on."
Robertson was on crutches and in a walking boot Thursday. His test results were forward to New York to be evaluated by team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
The 26-year-old righthander emerged as New York's setup man last season, logging a 4-0 record and 1.08 ERA in 70 appearances. He also struck out 100 batters in only 66 2/3 innings.

The first bad news out of New York Yankees camp came today, as it seems that All-Star pitcher David Robertson is scheduled to have an MRI on his foot.
This is the last thing any Yankee fan wants to hear, as Robertson was virtually indispensable in the team’s success last season.
Yankees beat writer Bryan Hoch broke the news...
David Robertson walked out of the Yankees clubhouse, holding a pair of crutches, his right foot in an oversized black boot.
Instead of making his second spring training appearance, he had gone to a hospital Thursday for an MRI after a household accident: He sprained a foot when he stumbled on stairs while moving boxes.
''It's embarrassing. I already had Mo rag me out...
David Robertson listened intently as he was told how Tampa Bay pitcher David Price left a start early after developing neck spasms while drying his neck with a towel between innings.
''That's good news, right there,'' Robertson said playfully. ''The best news I've heard.''

From Anthony McCarron:David Robertson, one of the most valuable pitchers on the Yankee staff and a potential heir apparent as closer if Mariano Rivera retires after this season, could miss a chunk of spring training with what the Yanks are calling a "mid-foot sprain."

David Robertson hurt his right foot Wednesday after falling down some stairs while moving a set of boxes. A freak accident that hopefully wont keep Robertson out for long. This is something to follow with his right foot being Robertson’s drive foot. X-rays came back negative, but Robertson was also sent for an MRI and [...]
Baseball is back. You know how I know that? It’s not the spring training games or the warm weather here in the northeast. It’s not the B-team highlights on Sportscenter. I’m talking about the bizarre injuries. When it comes to the mystical world of weird injuries, no sport does it quite like baseball. The latest victim: Yankees reliever David Robertson.
According to the NY...
Spring Training seems to be moving right along for the Yankees. Aside from the scare about David Robertson's injury and a small amount of worry about Michael Pineda's velocity, there hasn't been much to pay attention to down in Tampa this month. I have heard that Spring Training, as a rule, is pretty boring. That is probably one of the top reasons Joe Girardi brought...
Another crazy AL East injury to start the 2012 season. Rays ace David Price injured himself by toweling off between innings. Now, Yankees setup man David Robertson is sidelined thanks to carrying some empty boxes and falling down some stairs at his spring training home, according to CBSSports.com. Robertson has a sprained right foot and could miss some time, even though the X-ray...
After a great start to the 2012 Spring Training season, the Yankees have run into some hard times. Starting pitchers Ivan Nova, Hiroki Kuroda and Phil Hughes were belted around and, if you believe all the scribes, Michael Pineda “needs to” improve pretty much everything, except his results.
We initially heard David Robertson’s foot injury is worse than initially expected. Apparently...
With the current injury sustained by David Robertson, if he is out when the season begins, who do you think should get the nod as Mariano’s set-up man until D-Rob is ready to return? Rafael Soriano could be used to fill the hole, or maybe there has been someone you’ve seen this spring who could [...]
