San Diego Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson will sit out the next few days after fouling a ball off his left knee on Friday against the Seattle Mariners.
Hudson was hurt when he fouled off a pitch from Jason Vargas and had to be helped off the field.
Hudson was not in the lineup for Saturday's game but will not require a move to the disabled list.
Hudson has already missed 35 games because of injuries this season. He is batting .232 with 13 RBIs.
