San Diego Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson has been carted off the field, strapped to a stretcher, after colliding with a wall while making a catch. Hudson moved his arms, spoke and shook at least one teammate's hand before being driven off the field. He was injured after he leaned forward to make a running catch Thursday, just before hitting the back of his head and right shoulder on the wall. He fell onto his back and didn't move for several moments, and teammates rushed to his aid. The game was delayed for 8 minutes while Hudson was treated before being taken to the clubhouse wearing a neck brace.
