Press Release Provided by the San Diego Padres media department:SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today announced they have recalled catcher Yasmani Grandal from Triple-A Tucson and have optioned catcher Nick Hundley to the same Tucson club.  Executive Vice President/General Manager Josh Byrnes made the announcement.Grandal, 23, is making his second stint with the Padres after first being recalled from Tucson on June 1.  The catcher made his Big League debut the next day on June 2 against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Petco Park, going 0-for-1 in his only plate appearance before being optioned back on June 3.  In 56 games for Tucson this year, he has hit .335 (65-for-194) with 18 doubles, six home runs, 35 RBI, 40 runs scored and 37 walks against 35 strikeouts. The switch-hitter was acquired by the Padres this past offseason along with right-handers Brad Boxberger and Edinson Volquez and infielder Yonder Alonso from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for right-hander Mat Latos.
