Macho Row:

Let's shove aside his last outing in the month of August, a five inning-six run outing against the Braves, and recognize everything else he did in August. Cliff Lee is the hands down choice for Macho Row Phillie of the Month for August.
In four starts before his semi-meltdown Lee pitched 33.0 innings and allowed just two earned runs on 20 hits. Lee walked just four batters and struck out 33 batters. Heck, even if you include his last outing Lee's numbers were very impressive.
I August Lee was 4-1 with a 2.00 ERA with just eight earned runs allowed. His WHIP was a meager 0.94 and batters were hitting just .226 off of him.
If Lee has half as good September as his August was, the Phillies will be in fantastic shape heading into October.
