Right fielder Dominic Brown may have lost his chance to win the every day job for the Philadelphia Phillies. Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports that Brown fractured his hand and could be out three to six weeks after a likely surgical procedure
Brown fractured his hand after swinging at the first pitch in his first at bat against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday. He finished the at-bat with a single, but left the game the next inning.
He'll fly to Philadelphia early next week to get his hand evaluated by hand specialist Randall Culp.
