Apparently American cooking doesn’t agree too well with Yu Darvish’s constitution.
During Monday night’s game against the Orioles a foul odor arose in the Texas dugout that caused the majority of the team to clear off to one side because of the unbearable stench. Seeing that the only two Rangers left standing in the area of whatever was, as the broadcaster put it, “stale in the air,” I’m guessing that either Darvish or pitching coach Mike Maddux were responsible for the deadly flatulence.
All signs pointed to Darvish, but I think it was Maddux who let one rip, and the Japanese pitcher was just too polite to vacate the area. Maddux looks like the kind who would stick around and admire his own brand while reveling in the fact that his fart made his teammates run for fresh air.
