The Reds will activate left fielder Ryan Ludwick from the disabled list on Monday in time for their game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. To make room for Ludwick on the 25-man roster, outfielder Derrick Robinson will be sent to Triple-A Louisville for the next couple of weeks. "That was a tough decision," said manager Dusty Baker after Sunday's 3-2 win against San Diego in 13 innings. "It was a very tough decision but he was the only one that had options. Sometimes you can't make the moves you want or you have to make other moves because it depends on who has options and who doesn't." Baker said Robinson would be back with the team before the season ends and would be eligible for the postseason roster should the Reds make the playoffs. Ludwick tore the labrum in his right shoulder on Opening Day sliding head-first into third base. He hit .275 for the Reds last season with 26 home runs and 80 RBI. He spent time at Single-A Dayton and Louisville during his rehab assignment. He was just 6-for-44 while in the minors but his return means is bigger than pure stats. "It's going to be a big deal," said Baker. "We don't know how sharp he's going to be but we've got big (Jonathan) Broxton back and you see what he's meant. We've got (Ryan) Hanigan back, you see what he's meant since he's been back. Now Luddy. He's one of the big guys in the middle of our order and one of our spiritual leaders on the team. A lot of guys follow his lead."
