The Players Choice Award is scheduled to be announced on November 3rd. San Francisco Giants (Willie Mac Award Winner) starting pitcher Ryan Vogelsong is among the finalists for the National League.   Vogelsong made the NL All Star team, and ended the season by going 13-7 with a 2.71 ERA. Vogelsong is arbitration eligible, and will be returning to the Giants.   Do you think Vogelsong will have the same success in 2012? ~King of Cali (Steven) ———-——–—-——-——––———————-—————————————————- You can follow SF Giants Rumors Facebook page for more Giants updates! Mychael Urban Interviews Brian Sabean (October 26, 2010)

Mychael Urban of CSN Bay Area interviewed Giants GM Brian Sabean today…a few notes – In regards to payroll, Sabean says the Giants will go up incrementally in spending, but not dramatically. He says Brandon Crawford’s done a really good job making mechanical adjustments in the Arizona Fall League, and has “earned” his high batting average there. Joe Panik, for a first...

Brian Wilson, Hammer in mayor's campaign vid

For those of you who don't live in San Francisco, interim mayor Ed Lee is seeking re-election and his campaign team decided to create this rather awesome campaign video. Team Fielding Series: San Francisco Giants

The defending World Champs were doomed from the get-go. Their 2010 victory was built on a house of cards. Of course, that is what makes baseball fun. They pitched over their heads and had a run of good luck down the stretch. This year, they weren’t so lucky. Buster Posey went down early in the season, and Aubrey Huff turned back into a pumpkin. If it weren’t for Pablo...

Vogey, Torres Up for Awards

Ryan Vogelsong was -- in my opinion -- snubbed when MLB gave out its Comeback Player of the Year Award. He'll get another chance to win, though, as he's up for the Players Choice Awards Comeback Player of the Year, which is voted on by his colleagues. Vogelsong, Cardinals outfielder Lance Berkman and Mets shortstop Jose Reyes are also nominated. And yes, Berkman is the guy...

Tim Lincecum impersonator wins chance to pitch against him

Tim Lincecum has had his share of impersonators since bursting into Major League Baseball back in 2008. There was Luis the Brazilian cab driver, the oft-repeated comparisons to Dazed and Confused's Mitch Kramer and the high school pitcher who got lit up by opponents after adopting his delivery. Even Red Bull, one of Lincecum's main sugar daddy sponsors, has gotten into the...

Brian Wilson, Ronnie Lott, MC Hammer Appear in Video for San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee (Video)

The San Francisco Giants' biggest viral video creator, Ashkon, is back in a video supporting San Francisco's interim mayor, Ed Lee, to run for another term. He's not alone. Rappers MC Hammer and Will.I.Am join Giants closer Brad Wilson, former 49ers safety Ronnie Lott and numerous others in the video, set to one of the greatest songs ever written by human beings. Check...
