As a tribute to the World Baseball Classic, the MLB Fan Cave invited baseball ambassador and living legend Tommy Lasorda to read some tweets by international players from the tournament. Naturally, the language barrier led to some humorous results.

I love coming across pieces of cardboard I was entirely unaware of. The thrill of discovery is a pretty awesome thing, especially when your discovery is a must-have and the price remains surprisingly reasonable. Case in point, this fantastic and gorgeous card I nabbed a while back from the clutches of eBay.Numbered out of a scant 20 - 02/20 for my copy - it's a dual auto featuring...
PHOENIX Outfield prospect Yasiel Puig wont start the season in the major leagues, Manager Don Mattingly said Thursday.
Asked if the 22-year-old Cuban was under consideration for a place on the Dodgers opening day roster, Mattingly replied, Not really in my mind. If were going to be realistic about it, its probably not the best thing for him. He probably doesnt want to hear that...
PHOENIX -- Carl Crawford is scheduled to hit Thursday in a minor league game against Meiji University of Japan, two days after he took live batting practice.
This appears to mark progress for Crawford, who is recovering from reconstructive elbow surgery. The last time Crawford faced live pitching, he had to be shut down for a week. The outfielder has been working out for the last...
Tommy Lasorda is a Dodger legend and a baseball icon, so he can be forgiven for not having the best international accent.
As a “global baseball ambassador” for MLB, Lasorda visited the MLB Fan Cave in New York, where he was asked to read some tweets about the ongoing World Baseball Classic. The catch? Some of the tweets weren’t in English.
Lasorda was a good sport about it...
Zack Greinke signed a large deal to join the Los Angeles Dodgers but money does not necessarily go hand and hand with health. The right handed pitcher is in danger of missing his first scheduled start in jeopardy.
Greinke is tentatively scheduled to start April 2.
Dodger manager Don Mattingly is starting to get concerned about his high dollar pitcher. On Friday though there were...
It still seems unlikely that Zack Greinke makes his first start of the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers. His inflamed elbow will likely keep him out. However, Greinke is making progress and showing some positive signs. Like playing catch again.
Greinke will play catch again today for the first time since the diagnosis says Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Of course, playing catch...
In what can only be described as encouraging news for the Dodgers, Carl Crawford has graduated from batting practice to live at-bats. He has not joined the team in their Major League spring training games, but he has been taking minor league at-bats.
Crawford took six at-bats yesterday on the minor league side says Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. He is not playing in the outfield...
The Los Angeles Dodgers are hoping that platelet-rich plasma
injections along with anti-inflammatory medication help right-hander Zack
Greinke’s elbow recover to the point where he’ll be healthy in time for Opening
Day, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
The Dodgers have several former cases that point to the
success of the treatment Greinke is currently receiving...
The Dodgers have really started to focus on their MLB team with the new ownership, so the improvements to the farm system might go un-noticed. Several prospects have taken steps forward, which was something they have struggled with the last few years.
Note: Avg ranking takes the average of any site I could find that had team rankings (sum of ranks divided by total sites). Comp ranking...

MLB Fan Cave published another video of "old guy reads tweets," this time starring former Dodgers manager and current "goodwill ambassador" Tommy Lasorda. (If he's such a goodwill ambassador, couldn't he have done something to stop the Canada-Mexico brawl!) Lasorda looks like he'd rather be anywhere else...
On this episode of "Dugout Blues," Jared Massey (Dodger Diamond) talk about everything going on in Dodger spring training before we head down to Arizona ourselves.
Zack Greinke's elbow injury isn't a good thing, but it might not be bad as it seems. It's still something to be concerned about.
Carl Crawford faced live pitching (batting practice) for the...
Yasiel Puig was the main event for tonight's game, and he put on quite a show.
Yasiel Puig is surprised by his success in spring training. The Los Angeles Dodgers are impressed.
Puig continued to create a buzz this spring with a two-run homer and two singles in three at-bats Friday night, leading the Dodgers to an 8-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals in a split-squad game for both teams.
''I thought I would do well, but I didn't think I would...
