According to the Inquirer's Matt Gelb, the Phillies are "expecting a postponement" for tonight's game.
The weather forecast for New York is much like Philadelphia: strong winds, strong thunderstorms, and heavy rain. CBS New York reports:
Gelb says that Thursday would be the day the teams play instead. The shame of that is that several Phillies have signings scheduled in the Philadelphia area. I know I was planning to see Erik Kratz.
UPDATE: It's official. Phillies and Mets will play Thursday at 7:10 p.m.
Let's hope that Citi Field is more prepared with the tarp for the wind than this day:

Earlier today on our Phillies Nation twitter account (@PhilliesNation), I posted this:
Well, it happened. Cliff Lee was awesome tonight, fanning 10 Mets in eight innings as the Phillies held on for a 3-1 victory.
Jimmy Rollins and Domonic Brown supplied the offense, both going yard to right field; Rollins in the fifth inning, Brown in the seventh, both off starter and Cy Young candidate...
Phillies second baseman Chase Utley continues taking ground balls at third base and could soon be known as third baseman Chase Utley. Sunday's television broadcast showed Utley taking ground balls at third base in Houston, and Monday, the Inquirer's Matt Gelb wrote that Utley took more ground balls. That the Phillies and Utley are devoting so much time to this is indicative...
It will take more than Juan Pierre of the Philadelphia Phillies to make enough additional noise for serious October baseball. From the individuals on the roster, who do you think will make a big difference?

Jimmy Rollins led off the game with a home run. And, well, Ryan Howard finished it with one.
The Phillies were trailing the Mets 2-1 in the top of the ninth when Howard hit a two run shot that gave the Phillies the lead for good. Jonathan Papelbon worked the ninth for his 36th save as the Phils tried to keep pace in the Wild Card hunt with the 3-2 victory.
After a disastrous weekend in Houston, the Phillies managed to crawl back to the .500 mark after a 3-1 win over the Mets on Monday night. Cliff Lee pitched extremely well, allowing only 1 run over 8 innings. His strong performance kept the Phillies in the game against tough knuckleballer, R.A. Dickey.
For the offense, Jimmy Rollins is on a serious hot streak. It seems lately that...

The Big Piece has been a big disappointment (PHOTO: AP)
While most had written off the Phillies’ chances at a playoff run, some didn’t. Buster Olney wrote in July of an unnamed scout who believed that if the Phillies entered September six or less out of a playoff spot they would be dangerous. A few other folks at ESPN began to explore the Phillies’ chances before the Astros...
The Mets and Phillies start a series tonight as the Mets look to play spoiler for the suddenly resurgent Phillies. If you have been tuned off to baseball with the Mets decline, the Phillies have been on the rise to become mathematically relevant as the Pirates have really slid off. Tonight, R.A. Dickey will make the start as he goes against Cliff Lee.

NEW YORK -- R.A. Dickey lost a chance to move closer to the 20-win mark while the Philadelphia Phillies capitalized on an opportunity to inch closer to the second wild card spot.
