Maybe someday I can be an OrioleJon Paul Morosi is tweeting that the Dodgers have agreed to trade Dana Eveland to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for a minor league pitcher and a player to be named later. Eveland, 28, was quickly displaced in the Dodgers 2012 plans after the acquisitions of Aaron Harang and Chris Capuano. I was pegging him to be non-tendered by the Dodgers just to clear a spot on the 40-man roster a few days ago. With all these brilliant two-year deals Colletti is giving out I knew space would become an issue. Thanks to the Orioles, I have a Grinch-esque grin on my face as we stole a minor league pitcher and a PTBNL. Wait, what? Wow, must be rough to be an Orioles fan. Anytime you think you have it bad, just think you could be an Orioles fan.

No rumors on the names of the players coming from the Orioles, but as soon as I can get them I will update you all. Even if they are garbage throw-ins at least it's something for nothing. Maybe the PTBNL will be the next David Ortiz or Jason Schmidt, heck I'd be happy if he was the next Scott Podsednik. All three are some of the more notable PTBNL's in major league history. Ya never know...
