It’s almost becoming laughable. Another Yankee has landed on the disabled list – this time it’s Andy Pettitte’s turn, according to Mark Feinsand of the Daily News. Pettitte felt tightness in his trapezius muscle last night in the fifth inning and was removed from the game. Although the team isn’t worried about the injury and believe it to be minor, they are being careful...

Andy Pettitte’s Injury Will Truly Test Yankees’ Magic, As New York Can’t Afford to Lose Starting Pitching

Let’s see what rabbit the Yankees pull out of their hat this time, because Andy Pettitte’s trip to the disabled list will really test New York’s magic. The Yankees have been one of the biggest surprises in baseball this season, not because they’re winning, but because they’re winning with spare parts. The Bronx Bombers have been without many of their stars, including Alex...

Yankees' Andy Pettitte, Chris Stewart both hurt

The New York Yankees may now be out of options at catcher.  With Francisco Cervelii out with a fractured hand, the team was leaning on Chris Stewart.  Unfortunately, Stewart left last night's game with a strained groin.  To make matters worse for the Yankees, who seemed to be healing up finally, Andy Pettitte had to leave his start with a left trapezius muscle injury. ...

New York Yankees Disable Andy Pettitte, Recall Vidal Nuno

The New York Yankees were forced into placing veteran left-handed starting pitcher Andy Pettitte on the 15-day disable list with a trapezius muscle strain. The injury, suffered Thursday against the Seattle Mariners, isn’t expected to be serious but Pettitte is no longer a spring chicken so his recovery time could take a tad longer than normal. Taking his place on the active roster...

Yankees Lose A Series And Potentially Two More Players

The Yankees lost Thursday's rubber game against the Seattle Mariners (just the second series loss of the month) and potentially lost much more. VIDEO: Yankees fan makes amazing catch

Last night was a pretty disappointing game for New York Yankees fans, except for one. The Yankees lost 3-2 to the Seattle Mariners and lost Andy Pettitte to injury. The one fan not upset is probably this guy as he’s going to now enjoy a huge 15 minutes of fame. The fan was sitting down the left field line at field level. There was a foul ball hit and he made a ridiculous diving...

Daily FanDuel Picks: May 17, 2013

I got very little from Andy Pettitte yesterday at home against the Mariners, and few people on my offense really amounted to much. Chalk it up as an off day for what I thought to be a very competitive squad. The good news is I really like today’s team, which is headlined by an ace starting pitcher — something I almost never opt for.Despite the recent slide, I’m still in the...

Mariners 3, Yankees 2

On a night of injuries, the Seattle Mariners patched together just enough pitching to win. Andy Pettitte and Chris Stewart became the latest Yankees to get hurt, and emergency Seattle starter Hector Noesi pitched into the fifth inning in place of ailing Aaron Harang to lead the Mariners over New York 3-2 Thursday night. Pettitte (4-3) left after 4 2-3 innings because of an injured...
