Today a weird bombshell was dropped, a superfight of sorts, with a light heavyweight and a welterweight moving up and down to meet at 185 pounds. Nick Diaz vs. Lyoto Machida has been offered, numbers have been thrown around, and ears and eyebrows around the MMA world have perked. This, this is pretty weird, I have to admit.
Who couldn’t see Diaz getting frustrated at Lyoto’s lack of engagements in the middle of the cage, but then again, Diaz is a student of the martial arts, and there has to be some respect there for the former light heavyweight champion, right?
Maybe. Some people say they don’t want to see it, but I absolutely do. Sign me up for this fight immediately.
