At this rate, you have to wonder if this reoccuring knee injury is going to slow down the hyper-athletic Anthony Pettis as he grows older into his career. I’m calling it now, his brother Sergio is going to go on to do bigger and better things than Anthony. I don’t know why, but I just have the weird feeling. Kind of like the feeling I had before Belfort/Hendo.
So the Anthony Pettis/Josh Thomson lightweight title fight fight is delayed indefinitely, and in its stead, we will get Johnson vs Benavidez II, the flyweight title fight, being shifted from the Nov. 30 card in Las Vegas, then the lightweight matchup between Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz will move from the co-main event to main event slot of the TUF finale, where there feud aptly began.
And this especially sucks for Pettis, who will know GIVE that knee injury knowledge to Thomson when the fight does eventually go down.
