Ask, and you shall receive. Rory MacDonald has been granted his wish and will rematch former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit (Pictured) at UFC 158.
The 170-pounders will collide in MacDonald’s backyard of Montreal. Bell Centre hosts the March 16th festivities.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the scrap with MMAJunkie on Wednesday afternoon.
Just seconds after posting the most impressive performance of his skyrocketing career in a lopsided decision win over BJ Penn, MacDonald requested a sequel with the only man who has claimed a win over him.
In their initial encounter at UFC 115, MacDonald appeared to take the opening two frames against Condit. However, “The Natural Born Killer” rallied to TKO the then-20-year-old with just seven ticks remaining in their June 2010 scrap.
MacDonald has since rattled off four straight wins, emerging more impressive in each outing. Condit is victorious in three of his last four, but lost a title unification bout to welterweight king Georges St-Pierre last month.
No other bouts have been reported for the lineup at this time.
