Eddie Alvarez, the former Bellator lightweight champion, and pretty much consensus #1 free agent on the market/top 5 lightweight is wallowing about, not having a fight since his last bout in Bellator against Patricky Freire in October of 2012. The crux of the lawsuit against Eddie comes to matching deals. Spike/Bellator supposedly have “matched” the deal given to Eddie by the UFC, which includes PPV money, fights on FOX, and a hefty per-fight purse. The cash is no problem, they can match that, but what about PPV dollars? How could SPike match that if Bellator doesn’t even have  a PPV to run?
