UFC officials have announced that a lightweight bout between Shane Roller and Jacob Volkmann has been signed for UFC 151.
UFC 151 takes place September 1 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and #1 contender Dan Henderson.
Roller is 11-6 in his professional MMA career. He is 2-3 in his past five bouts and is also 2-3 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout he snapped a three fight losing skid by defeating John Alessio via decision at UFC 148.
Volkmann is 14-3 in his professional MMA career. He is 4-1 in his past five bouts and is 4-3 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout he had a four fight win streak snapped when he was submitted by Paul Sass in the first round at UFC 146.
