A bantamweight scrap between Mike Easton (Pictured) and Ivan Menjivar kicked off Saturday’s “UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II” pay-per-view broadcast.

MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is hosting tonight’s festivities. The show is headlined by the highly-anticipated rematch between middleweight king Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.

Betting Line:

Favorite (-) Underdog (+)

Ivan Menjivar +100
Mike Easton -130

Here is the play-by-play from Easton vs. Menjivar:

1stRound:

Solid exchange by both bantamweights. Easton connects on a head kick. Heavy shots unleashed from each, but nothing devastating has landed. The crowd is a tad impatient this evening, as they once again greet the athletes with boos when the stanza ends.

2ndRound:

A sparring session has broken out and the ticket payers are not too pleased. The most exciting news of the night thus far, LeBron James has taken his talents inside the MGM Grand…

3rdRound:

Easton connects on a right hook to the body. Based off this performance, it’s shocking to think Menjivar was in the running to face Urijah Faber for the interim 135-pound crown. Easton secures a takedown and has half the frame to work.

Official Result:

Mike Easton Defeated Ivan Menjivar via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)
