It was a big night for the man they call Bigfoot. Antonio Silva earned his first UFC victory, and walked away with the biggest paycheck at UFC on FX: Browne vs Bigfoot.
Before we go any further, we should note that the Minnesota Athletic Commission doesn't officially release fighter pay info, so none of the following salary data for the event is official. However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter's pay based on official purse info released from past fights. After getting knocked out in the first round by Daniel Cormier in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix back in 2011, “Bigfoot” was brought into the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) ranks to test his skills against former champion, Cain Velasquez at UFC 146.
The official weigh-ins for UFC on FX 5 takes place on Thursday, October 4th from the Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public. The doors will open at 4:00 pm ET and the weigh-ins will kick-off at approximately 5:00pm ET.
