The days of Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 Chevrolet featuring the logo of DuPont are gone. DuPont’s sale of its paint division has forced a change on the Hendrick Motorsports car driven by Gordon. DuPont’s paint division was acquired by the Carlyle Group and re-branded as Axalta Coating Systems. Axalta will sponsor Gordon in 14 races this season with the first being the April 14 race at Texas Motor Speedway. Gordon’s car will feature CroMax Pro on the hood and quarter panels.
