credit: Team Lowe’s Racing Jimmie Johnson will celebrate the upcoming Memorial Day holiday with a red, white and blue race car. Johnson was the winner of the 2012 All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and will attempt to repeat his feat on Saturday night. The car is similar to the white and blue Lowe’s Chevrolet that Johnson has driven at night races this season but this time features red trim. A mockup of the car was first posted on Team Lowe’s Racing’s Facebook page. Excluding the All-Star race, Johnson has made 23 career starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway and has found victory lane six times. The last points win at Charlotte for Johnson came in the fall of 2009. Johnson swept both races at Charlotte in 2004 and 2005 and from 2002 until the fall race in 2007 posted an impressive 11 consecutive finishes of tenth or better.
