It took a while but Phoenix Racing has finally confirmed that Justin Allgaier will be the driver of the No. 51 Brant Chevrolet SS during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
Allgaier has been a fixture in the Nationwide Series in recent years finishing fifth in the 2013 Nationwide Series standings. Last season he drove for Turner Scott Motorsports in the Nationwide Series, Harry Scott who is a part owner of that team is the new owner of Phoenix Racing.
“This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I intend to make the most of it,” said Allgaier. “I am very grateful to Harry Scott and BRANDT for having faith in me to compete against the best drivers in the world.”
Allgaier will bring sponsorship from Brant with him as he competes for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors. In total Brant will be the primary sponsor for 21 races in 2014.

Justin Allgaier has been named to drive the No . 51 Phoenix Racing BRANDT Chevrolet SS during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
Allgaier, 27, finished fifth in the Nationwide Series point standings in 2013 and will be joined by teammate Bobby Labonte, who will be driving the No. 52 for a limited amount of races this season, including the Daytona 500.

Love's Travel Stops is going to be a primary sponsor for 14 races for David Gilliland.
