On Sunday afternoon, Kahne was looking to win after the missed opportunity. Kahne was able to take advantage of a mistake Brad Keselowski on the final restart to grab the lead and never look back. The mistake helped Kahne pull away to a 1.7 second lead over pole sitter, Kyle Busch. Kahne would lead a total of 109 laps to capture his first win at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”. “This is one of those tracks that, as a driver, you feel like you really need to win at,” said Kahne.
