However for the past three-plus seasons Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has rolled snake eyes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It’s not that Earnhardt hasn’t been close. In the 131 races since he last reached victory lane, Earnhardt has devastatingly finished second six times. Last season he had several chances at victory, but fuel mileage (Charlotte), a hungry Kevin Harvick (Martinsville) and Brad Keselowski’s incredible ability to save gas (Kansas) kept him shut out of victory lane for yet another year.
