The 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season got off to an interesting start last weekend in the Daytona, but Sunday afternoon’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 may start to shed some light on which top drivers are here to stay and battle it out in the Chase for the Sprint Cup later this season.
Phoenix International Raceway is a 1.0 mile tri-oval track that has produced some great racing in recent years.
In this race last March, Denny Hamlin dominated and held off a fuel saving Kevin Harvick to win in the second race of the season with his crew chief, Darian Grubb. We also saw an interesting brawl on pit road last year. Jeff Gordon wrecked Clint Bowyer, and chaos ensued on pit road following the race. NASCAR fined Gordon $100,000 for the incident and he was placed on probation...
