He'd do better for himself as a Spur. Here are my reasons: 1) no egos in the locker room in S.A. 2) better run organization (actually ranked #9 in all of sports) 3) A proven, repeat winner in Greg Popovich 4) Rasheed has said for years he'd like to play next to Duncan 5) The Spurs take care of their stars and 6) Parker, Duncan, Ginoboli, and Jefferson. 'nuff said!

If it's not obvious by now who offseason target #1 is for the Celtics... it should be now. The Celtics are going to send Doc Rivers and the Big 3 to try to convince Rasheed Wallace to come to Boston.Coach Doc Rivers and the Big Three were planning a recruiting trip to woo him, possibly as early as Wednesday afternoon, league sources said. The Celtics are targeting Wallace with the midlevel exception and sources say the team – which could be willing to pay a steep luxury tax – is also pursuing Phoenix’s Grant Hill. Sources say that Celtics management met with Wallace late last night, and that they would be followed with a visit from the coach, as well Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Garnett and Wallace have a close relationship. Boston officials are convinced that these next 24 to 48 hours are critical in overtaking the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference, and eventually, the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.Damn....

I love Rasheed's game. I would hate to see him wearing green.
-
Also, I have a grip of his rookie cards.

Wow, this would be a great addition and almost insure another championship run if Garnett comes back full strength.
-
Dont go after Hill. If Rasheed does go to the Celtics its another Championship
-
yup and thats what im hoping for.. My C's need to get back on that banner run!!
-
Sheed wont make a difference, he wont always give his all and he gets to many techs.Celtics need a player who gives their all each game. even on off shooting nights he does'nt hit boards. And he shoots to many 3'S. IMO!

You have a point

but do u really think KG, (whos also his friend) and his high intensity, would allow Sheed to be lackluster when the C's play under .500 teams? I know Sheed has that problem. Even Billups admitted it, and I remember it being a big deal for why he didnt even try when he played us in the ECF in 08. But KG and his intensity rolls through the team, so I hope he listens to his friend, and plays day in and day out with that need to win...

Lou Gehrig's Disease
Somehow I missed Dan's nice column yesterday about MLB's efforts to raise funds for research on ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.
