Hop on: The Portland Bandwagon

So with all the drama going on today I had epiphany. Join us! Hop on to the "Portland Bandwagon"! Its never too late, we are not like LA fans, we love our team and our fans, and support them all. Our owners and GM's nurture our players, and pay our players what they are worth. Our players love our city, and they love the fans.

Our star players, don't "opt-out", they "opt-in"(James Jones does not count). With so much talent, and great personalities how can you not love this team, and this city. It is the new Western Mecca of a Basketball Dynasty.

Let me break this down for you all that are thinking of hopping on our bandwagon.

Our list of Talented basketball assassins:

Greg "Babyface Beast" Oden, the guy has not even stepped onto the Gardens floor and he is already a legend in the city. This dude is prepared to tear heads off, and dunk on everyone including your mom. He dunks so hard he impregnates all the women in the stands.

Brandon "The Natural" Roy, how high does this guys ceiling go? Their is none, sky's the limit. He cures prostate cancer with his crossover.

Travis "Trout, Trout Law" Outlaw, well bread, well fed, native of Mississippi, this guys un-orthodox jumper makes the Pope's eye bleed. He could easily be the highest scorer on this team. Will see another break out season from this dude. Loves his BBQ, I think that is all that needs to be said about Troutlaw. His jumper cures glaucoma.

Rudy "The Matador" Fernandez, people call him the next Ginobili, I don't know why? This dude is straight finesse, slick as the country he comes from. Expect big things from the two time MVP.

Jerryd "Pay up" Bayless, our new point guard is going to shake coma patients out of their comas. He is on the floor to kill the other guards that guard him. Straight fire.

Martell "The Prophet" Webster, he does not even have to step on the floor, but when he does all the girls break up with their boyfriends because they are all now dating "The Prophet" now. He is the ladies favorite of the team. So all you GSW Boom fans, we have something for you as well!

Lamarcus "Horseface" Aldridge, okay that was mean. His nickname is not "Horseface" but it sure in hell should be. Next Timmy D here folks. Just quicker, bigger, and meaner. "Why long in the face LA ?" Thats just the way he looks.

Joel "The Vanilla Gorilla" Pryzibilla, a beast. That's the only way to put it. You better whip out some weapons when JPryz and Oden step on the floor together, or get Andre the Giant, because these fools are the "Garbage men". And when I say"Garbage men" I don't mean they guard the crap centers, these guy will murder your players, then dig a hole under your stadium and bury your whole team! (Ill bring the lime)

Sergio "Spanish Chocolate" Rodriguez, do you hear that? Didn't think so. That's Sergio giving your whole team a heart attack. They simply cant keep up with him. Break out season for this guy.

No need to submit applications, were already prepared for you guys, hop on. The Portland TrailBlazers Bandwagon has room for all of you.

Sick of your GM's and owners making head scratching decisions? We don't do that in Portland anymore, Kevin Pritchard is almost more popular then the players. I say he should run for Mayor, maybe even Governor, maybe even Pope.

Paul Allen, billionaire god. Thats it. Nothing more to be said about the generosity of this guy.

So how about it ? GSW fans are being thrown to the side, Seattle fans, Dallas fans, Phoenix fans, anyone! Come hop on board, we would love to have you. Why not be part of something that will blossom into something wonderful.

That is the 1st time I cracked a smile in like 32 hours.
Although I do predict big things for p-town this season....I think I will just suffer through another couple seasons w/ my dubs. Plus - I already paid most of my season tix and they are non-refundable, lol!!!

LMAO @ shakes coma paitents out of thier comas. Excellent!

I know you love it. Ill buy you Oden jersey and send it to you. You can wear it under you GSW jersey. You can be in the closet. I want call you names when we make the playoffs.

you guys are still pretty young, but it will be interesting

Thats all your giving us, "interesting". Come on I think we deserve more then that

roy is good real good, odens huge but its basically his rookie year, and its the west anything can happen. i wouldnt be suprised if both of our teams dont get into the playoffs

Amen, I've been tryin' to get these GSW fans straight for a couple weeks now. Aside from the talent and chemistry on this team are there any better nicknames in the NBA??? The "Vanilla Gorilla", "The Natural" and I actually have heard Greg "The Judge" Oden a couple times. The league has no clue what kind of monster this guy is going to be. He didn't even lift a weight until he was drafted by the Blazers and the guy has gained 25-30 pounds of muscle without gaining any body fat. 7 footer with a 40" vert. The West better stock up on their 3 point shooters cause nothing is coming within 15 feet of the rim.

lol great article, i laughed at martells line. but i gotta say for a horse face LA has a lot of good lookin girls after him

nice article, MArtell pseudonym and Priszbilla is funny ..I beleive the Boston Celtic fans are the bandwagon fans, not the Lakers or are u referring to the Clippers...

.but u hanging out with marbury snorting some crack dude,,, tooooooo Optimistic,,,Dont want to bust the optimistic bubble but Trailblazers need Aryvdas Sabonehead (sabonis) as their coach if they want to go to the Finals..Jokes aside, I really want to see Greg Oden block shots all the way back to Sam Cassells planet, Mars.

LOL. Good point man. I actually want you to hop on this bandwagon.

hahahah booker t digs that Suckkaaaaa...i guess i have to give the Golden State Warriors a scissors kick and a spinaroony bye bye (I was on their bandwagon due in part to Baron Davis)....Booker T is now a free agent fan in the Western Conference with first offering to join the TrailBlazers. Unfortunatly Booker T cannot join the bandwagon till July 9th. Until then Dont hate the player hate the game....

Ill put the contracts in the mail and get a hold of the bank.

Thanks I appreciate your kindness...BookerT is on vacation now down in West Vagina...Since NY isnt a patriotic state and wont allow the sale of fireworks or launching of any kind for security reasons (Terror Alert Sunkist Orange I believe thats what Homeland Security says) ill be their with fam n relatives...Enjoy yourselves and your 4th of July, and chek out BookerT articles (all are for humorous purpose and just check out my most recent one, Golden State lettin players go)

Yeah send me a contract via message , ive gotten offers from Suns and teh Supersonics fans as well..... Ive already rejected the Spurs, Mavericks, and Jazz...Booker T doesnt dig those teams ya DIg..I dont role with cheaters especially the Spurs....Peace Out and enjoy ur 4th of jUly,m I double loved the plusses as well!!

I'll be looking out for the Blazers this year. I already went to a pre-season game to see Channing "I Can't Think of a Nickname" Frye. Be warned, my team has won 3 straight against yours, but GO will turn it up a notch. Plus I want to see GO vs. Spencer Hawes. That'll be a good match-up. Good article.

Dude...I'm drivin' the bandwagon. Okay, okay, Pritchard just let me touch the reigns for a moment, but the point is that most of us in Oregon and more and more people around the nation and even the world are hearing about the Blazers.
Here's the thing. Everyone's claiming that we are too young. Too young for what? Retirement? These guys can play now. Don't get me wrong...they need some time to gel, but for the most part, these guys are NBA ready right now. Not just to play, not just to compete, but to scare the livin' bejeavies out of opponents. Are you seriously telling me that Allen Iverson wants to take it to the hole against Oden? They'll need to pry his arms out of the court with a butter knife. And we have a legit 7 guys who can score 20+ per night. Who else can say that? Who else in the history of the NBA could say that?
Okay, I'm off the caffeine.

Offhand, I'm not sure who it is that has won 3 straight against the Blazers...but that's irrelevant. The team they beat didn't even have 3 of our superstars playing who WILL be playing this year. You beat a mix of our first and second squads. Not to brag, but dang!!!!

the blazers are good for the future not sure about next year though

they could be a surprise pick to go to the playoffs ill say that

Yes they can, and will. DOMINATION HERE WE COME.

Come Join!

Oden's ready - had all last year to think about swatting flies.
LAs ready - already proved himself last season. Will improve this year.
Outlaw/Webster are ready - flashes last year. Consistency now.
Roy is.... - no need to tell anyone here that he is for real.
Rudy will have a bit of a transition into the NBA game. Will contribute early, and be a star by season's end.
Bayless has some work to do. But between Blake, Roy, and Fernandez, he'll have support and grow quickly. Won't be solid this season as a PG, but will score well and learn for coming years.

I predict Blazers will wiln at least 55 games this year. Guys, it's not a stretch at all. They won 41 last season... we're only talking +14 games. They all have more experience, are healthy (for now), and add three key components that they didn't have last season. Oden will dominate the paint (while he's not in foul trouble - but he'll learn how to discipline himself this year), Rudy will shoot lights out, Webster will shoot lights out, Outlaw will hurt catch his head in the rim at some point this year but come out okay, Roy will be Roy and the Blazers will win 55+ games. AAGGGHHH....okay, back off the caffeine.

Your comments on Webster and Oden are awesome. "Dunks so hard he impregnates all the women in the stands", hahah. I laughed through that entire post.

As far as LA goes, he's not bad looking you know.
Trust me, he's a ladies favorite just as much as Martell. ;)

Nice article.

Okay I listen to you cause your well a lady, and you know better then me.

Blazers fans are quickly becoming as annoying as you can get without truly winning anything.

Dont be sad that your GM sucks. Dont hate

I hear the queens are moving to Seattle.

kettle...pot?

Lol silly kings fan. I saw that thread where the entire Kings fan base sees the future of the franchise slip through their fingers as Indiana grabs Bayless for Portland. Man you could feel the entire weight of the world come crashing down on those guys. The "OMG WTF" posts when Portland gets Bayless. Then what does Sacramento do? They draft Jason Thompson out of Rider University..ROFL. Man Kings fans have a right to hate us.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JUMP ON THE WAGON SEATTLE!!! We've already got Brandon, Martell, and Nate "Mr. Sonic" McMillian. The Trailblazers can be your team now too. Can you feel the love?

No stay up in that crappy city and watch your baseball team tank!

Come on Randy, they let us come up their and watch Baseball and Football, I think they should come hop on down to some games, buy some jerseys. I think its more then fair. lol

this article is awesome. (and true.)

For that I will add myself as a fan.

man. i saw portland play in boston during last regular season and i was downright alarmed. golden state and seattle fans will be purchasing their portland jerseys within weeks!

Now just look at who we are adding this year the almost that same roster. Greg Oden, Rudy Fernandez, and Jerryd Bayless.

yeah, but with aldrige (love him) and roy more matured and more battle tested. they're gonna be INSANE.

Can you feel the love ?? I can. Thumbs up for everyone!

I only jump on the Portland bandwagon when I need to score high powered weed.

You do know your hook, aka Isiah Rider, left town a while ago right?

No biggie, Darius is still in town and just failed a NBA substance test. So I think he could score you some.

But Oregon is a green state... So the ganj is crazy

Lakers/Blazers, Blazers/Lakers

I CAN'T DECIDE!!!

Your kidding me. Lakers, come on. Done, out. Kobe's wife is going to kill him before next season.

Thats not even a toss up. Going to the Lakers is like being a Yankees fan. Come to the Darkside. We are stronger, faster, and meaner.

Round 2 next year. Finals in 09-10!

havent been this excited for blazers since the conference finals in 2000. very nice(and true) article.

I really became Blazers fan when they got Roy&Aldrige, but please don't sleep on Outlaw, between him & Oden's D. they will raise HELL! in the west for the next few years. Trust&Belive.

lakers? man i cant believe this kid you seen our team how can you be a fan of the lak...wait how can you be a fan of kobe? (i say just kobe cuz thats all laker fans are kobe fans) lakers aint got no heart just one person trying to win the game by himself blazers definitley have more talent and love for the game this is basketball town we dont have yellow lights in our stoplights we have little orange basketballs blazers are gettin world-wide recognition now...and its all positive i predict an 82-game sellout streak at the garden

Notice how everyone outside of Portland says "your still young"? Notice how everyone IN Portland says "AND WE ARE SO YOUNG!!!" We won 41 games last year without Bayless, Oden and Fernandez. We are hoping for a playoff birth and 50+ games. Dude- the post was hilariously accurate. Nice job and to all the former/still Sonic fans, I sing "WELCOME TO RIP CITY!" We welcome you! BTW- Portland folks root for the Seahawks. No reason you can't root for our Blazers!!
